National Library Week Festivities!

NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK! SHOW SOME LIBRARY LOVE!

MONDAY 4/15: Library Training for VLS Staff 1-2PM|Oakes 210
Lisa Donadio will start with MyLibrary, an efficient mechanism for tracking one’s usage of JULIEN, the Library’s online catalog. Cynthia Lewis will teach the uses of ILLiad, the interlibrary loan service. Finally, Carl Yirka will walk through a variety of advanced uses of Google.

TUESDAY 4/16: Build a Story & Support the Class of 2013|All Day| Library Lobby

Pull any book off the library shelves. Go to page 43, line 13. Write this sentence on the “Build a Story” board in the library lobby. Cite the sentence, and include your name. The first 50 participants receive a coupon for $1 off any beverage at GFA to support the class of 2013.

THURSDAY 4/18: Library Author Series with Benjamin Sovacool | 12:45-2| Cornell Seminar Room Professor Sovacool concludes the 2012-2013 Author Series with “Eradicating Poverty with Renewable Energy: Insights from the Asia Pacific.” We will have time for lively discussion, and refreshments will be served!

FRIDAY 4/19: Raffle & Game Winners Announced|11:45 PM| Library Lobby
We will announce our grand prize raffle and game winners Friday at 11:45 in the library lobby. Enter the raffle all week, it’s free!

AND, of course we will have the usual suspects: candy all week, and fun word games!
