REFERENCE SERVICES
Librarians are available Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–
5:00PM to answer research questions
and to help identify useful materials. Librarians are also
available for individual or group consultations. For reference

INTRODUCTION TO LEGAL RESEARCH
Introduction to Legal Research is offered every fall
for 1Ls. Taught by the librarians, this hands-on course
offers an overview of the foundational legal
bibliography and how to work with the latest research
tools and resources. Special attention is given to
developing research strategies and techniques.

ADVANCED LEGAL RESEARCH
Advanced Legal Research is offered throughout
the year in specialized topics such as foreign and
international law, administrative law, environmental
law, and prepare-to-practice. The courses are subject
centered and build on the knowledge of the
introductory course with more advanced legal
research techniques and specialized online resources.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN
The Cornell Library is happy to retrieve materials from other
libraries, which are not in our collection. Request materials via
ILLiad (sign in required).
